Our Story
My Story
My name is Jevan Sieling, I am the owner and founder of Sieling Engineering Limited, I started my company officially at 22 however my story begins in a small 5 man workshop in Jurby isle of man. Starting my apprenticeship at 17 in engineering I worked for a company that produced components for Steam cars and and parts for the Isle of man Railways, before long I began learning the skills and craft of fabrication and welding soon becoming the sole fabricator in that business. My day to day would be building chassis for steam cars, building burner pans or sometimes fabricating full coal bunkers and water tanks for steam locomotives!
At the age of 18 I wanted to learn more about engineering and test my self further, so I began welding friends and families gates during the evenings, learning that working long hours was rather easy once you have found an activity you enjoy. My love for engineering evolved further and further taking me to a larger company in the capital of the island. This was a company that manufactured parts for oil rigs, Hospitals, Hydrogen development companies, refineries (This company focused on manufacturing parts that took a fluid or gas from A-B), In this company I became a Coded welder working on Pressure vessels made from 316L Stainless steel. (all the while welding gates and railings during my evenings).
At the age of 22 years old I decided to take a massive step for me and my future, I registered Sieling Engineering. From there my sole and primary goal was to grow my business, learn more and test my self.
Today I'm 24 years old, I have my own workshop in Balthane industrial estate, I own 2x CNC milling machines, top of the range welding equipment, We manufacture products for the isle of man railway, other companies around the island as well as companies in Manchester!
